Tamiya 1/16th Radio Control U.S. M51 Super Sherman Tank
List Price: $1,404.00
Our Price: $1,123.20

During the 1960's, the Israeli Ordnance Corps upgraded their aging Sherman Tanks by equipping it with the powerful French 105mm CN-105-F1 tank gun. The gun barrel length was shortened by 1.5m to improve overall greater balance and a muzzle brake was also fitted to minimize the recoil effect. In 1967, during the Six-Day War, the Super Sherman found itself fighting against newer T-54/55 tanks as well as JS-3 tanks from Egyptian, Iraqi, and Syrian armies. The M-51's 105mm gun could take on these adversaries by using HEAT ammunition. After the war, these M-51 Super Shermans continued to serve with distinction until they were finally retired in the early 1980s.

Tamiya 1/16th Radio Control Russian KV-2 Tank
List Price: $1,556.00
Our Price: $1,244.80

After the success of the 1/16 R/C Russian KV-1 tank, Tamiya has released a second Russian Tank, the 1/16 R/C KV-2. In November 1940, mass production of the KV-2 began. The KV-2 tank was part of a series of Soviet tanks named after defense commissar Kilment Voroshilov. The large stature of the KV-2 was needed to house its 3.25m large turret, 24-caliber 1938/40 152mm M-10 howitzer and ammunition. This tank could hold 36 shells of various types of ammunition, including a special armor-piercing shell to attack concrete pillboxes.

Tamiya 1/16th Radio Control Russian KV-1 Tank
List Price: $1,556.00
Our Price: $1,244.80

Named after the Soviet defense commissar Kliment Voroshilov, testing of the KV along with 3 multi-turreted tanks the T-35, T-100, and the SMK began in September 1939. These tanks were soon battlefield tested during the "Winter War" from December the same year. Battlefield experience revealed the SMK and T-100's poor mobility, while the KV's good performance led to its adoption as the Soviet Army's next generation heavy tank. During WWII, the KV-1 heavy tank proved to be a difficult customer to handle for the invading German Army and forced them to build stronger and heavier tanks.

Below is the information we have from Tamiya on the kit:

This large-scale, Big Tank Series RC model assembly kit recreates the formidable modern U.S. Main Battle Tank M1A2 Abrams.

The Abrams main battle tank has been around since the early 1980s. It has undergone constant upgrades to ensure that it stays at the cutting edge of military technology. M1A2s were introduced in 1992, developed to be chock-full of front-line technology and bring the M1 into the digital age. They featured depleted uranium armor, a modified commander's cupola, Intravehicular Information System (IVIA), Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) turret and a new style vision block, and much more! M1A2's played a significant role in Operation Iraqi Freedom, being deployed by land forces as they moved toward Baghdad in 2003.

Specifications and Features:

1/16 scale RC model assembly kit. Length: 615mm, width: 231mm, height: 190mm.

Expertly recreated angular Abrams form includes depictions of anti-slip surface textures.

The chassis is powered by a gearbox with 540-size motors and features metal parts such as lower hull, suspension arms, drive sprockets and more, for excellent durability.

Aluminum gun barrel included. Utilizes traverse and elevation/depression movement, actuated by a servo and Type 130 motor.

Multi-Function Unit is made up of turret and vehicle control units. It allows control of various movements via separately sold transmitter. These functions include turret rotation and gun elevation. It also ensures that a range of realistic sound and light effects (headlights, taillights, barrel flash) are paired with model actions.

Gun battle control system can train the main gun in a single direction, which it remains pointed in even as the tank moves or climbs, and the turret rotates.

The included dual speaker offers highly realistic sounds.

Durable resin pre-assembled tracks feature metal pins and connectors.

Compatible with the Battle System (Item 53447) for fun and interactive battles with friends!

Requires a 4-channel transmitter with self-neutral function, 7.2-volt Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery pack and charger, and transmitter batteries.
