New Cobi Historical Collection WWII German Panzer VIII Maus Tank Kit!

There is probably no other tank that has inspired more curiosity and interest in the entire history of mechanized armor than the Panzer VIII Maus. It is surrounded by an aura of mystery, and the facts are mixed about it with the legends surrounding growing over the years. The Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus was a prototype German super heavy tank from the Second World War. It was the heaviest and largest tank ever built. It weighed over 188 tons! The project was carried out in the years 1942-1944. Only two incomplete prototypes were ever built and never entered service. In April 1945, the Red Army captured both abandoned Maus prototypes, which were located at the Kummersdorf training ground. They were assembled into a vehicles with the hull of the first prototype and the turret of the second. This hybrid is still one of the main attractions of the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow.

Panzer VIII Maus #2559 is a very special model in the Cobi collection. It was built from the beginning in 1:28 scale and is 39cm long! Removable covers on the turret and hill give you access to the detailed interior. Removable engine, opening hatches, movable barrel and working tracks are other advantages of this set. The tank presented in the context of its construction at the factory is covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off during intensive use.

Maus is a must for enthusiasts of history, armor and the secret weapons of WWII. The beautiful and enormous model will perfectly complement any tank collection, becoming its main attraction. Thanks t the intuitive instructions the construction is simple, but due to the unique design of the interior, a large number of elements and the time needed to assemble the set we do recommend the model to slightly older builders.
