1980's period, US Army, B.D.U. "Coat, Combat, Woodland Camouflage Pattern", belonging to Brigadier General "Phillips", the Commanding General of a Michigan Army National Guard Unit
Uniform is called "B.D.U.'s' for Battle Dress Universal. It has General Phillips's name direct embroidered on the right breast. It also has his Brigadier General's stars insignia direct embroidered on each collar side. On the left breast is has his "US Army" designation direct embroidered on. It has two factory tags sewn inside the jacket. It has a subdued Michigan Army National Guard patch sewn on his left shoulder sleeve. This uniform includes his 1981 dated B.D.U. "Trousers, Combat, Woodland Camouflage Pattern". The trousers have two factory tags sewn inside (one tag is inked "Phillips").
Condition - Excellent/Plus

This is a standard 1980's to the early 1990's period US Army BDU style uniform. A high point about this General's uniform is that most of the insignia (including his
name
) are direct embroidered on the jacket. This is a great aid when it comes to provenance. At this time biographical historical research is being done to ascertain the career of Brigadier General Phillips.
