Description

These woman's high heeled shoes probably date anywhere as early as in the 1930's to as late as in the 1960's, or so period.  They have 2 3/4 inch covered wood heels.  These black color leather high heeled shoes appear to be of all leather construction.  They have popular top body cut-outs that were all-the-rage in those early days.  If you look in any of the 1930's or later period "Sears" or "Montgomery Ward" catalogs, you will see that this style of high heel shoes lasted for several decades.  As for these high heels, there is no internal logo or embossed manufacturer's name found, so we do not know who made/sold them.  We conservatively condition rate them as in a LOW GOOD CONDITION, as they do not show a lot wear, but do have the usual scuffing/peeling, etc.  The heel tips look O.K. too.  These shoes would be just PERFECT to be used on a female exhibit that has the woman dressed in a paramilitary uniform, or in a exhibit where the woman is dressed in daily, less fancy civilian work clothes.  Note:  these types of shoes were often worn by women who worked for American Red Cross, and similar paramilitary war time organizations, especially during the war years.  Thus their higher rarity, and thus their higher price.
